BREAKING: 2021 Virginia ATH Commits to Tennessee

by | Nov 10, 2019

The evening after a much needed win against Kentucky, Jeremy Pruitt and staff got some good and unexpected news on the recruiting trail. 3-Star Athlete Nate Evans made a decision to announce his commitment to Tennessee. With the early signing period for the class of 2020 being less than 2 months away, most fans may not be familiar with many of the 2021 recruits, so here’s a quick rundown for you to get familiar with the newest member of the 2021 class.

Evans plays Prep ball at Frank W. Cox High School in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He is listed at 6’1 180lbs and rated as a 3 star athlete. He first visited Tennessee at a camp back in June, then decided to commit after he returned to campus today. Evans plays multiple positions but is being recruited to play Corner at Tennessee, primarily by Vols Defensive Coordinator Derrick Ansley. Evans held offers from Florida State, South Carolina, Kentucky, Maryland and Baylor, among other schools.

Evans is the 4th commit for Tennessee this cycle, joining Jordan Mosely, Jay Jones and Elijah Howard. Good early get for Jeremy Pruitt and the Tennessee coaching staff, but it’s also very early and like any other 2021 recruit they will likely have to work to hold onto him.
