Coveted DT Sets Official Visit to Tennessee, Discusses Why

by | Aug 26, 2019

Tennessee has to revamp their defensive line in a hurry, and it starts with this recruiting cycle. In order to do this, they are going to have to hit on some big-name guys. The Vols got some big news on this front today when four-star UGA commit Nazir Stackhouse announced that Tennessee would get an official visit from him.

Stackhouse broke the news earlier today via Twitter. The other teams on the list included Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, and Georgia Tech.

Stackhouse told VR2 of Tennessee, “They are getting one, but I’m not sure what date.”

This news may have surprised some, but Tennessee has been in Stackhouse’s ear despite his Georgia commitment. The main guy leading the charge for the Vols is Tracy Rocker.

Stackhouse said of the Vols, “I love coach Rocker as a person, and I would love to see what else he would offer for me to be a Volunteer.”

Stackhouse is the 260th overall prospect, No. 21 DT, and No. 23 prospect from the state of Georgia in the 2020 class, according to 247 Sports.
