Florida State Commit, Morven Joseph, set for official visit to Tennessee

by | Nov 5, 2019

Morven Joseph has been a longtime target of Tennessee’s, dating back to an offer over the spring. Joseph camped with the Vols in June, but he would eventually commit to Florida State in July.

Despite that, Tennessee has never let their foot off the gas, and they will get another crack out the Lake Gibson star.

Joseph tells VR2, “I am setup for an OV to Tennessee on November 30th.” Which is the weekend that the Vols will hold senior day festivities and host in-state rival Vanderbilt.

It has been made clear from Joseph that the Vols want and need him in this class. The message itself came from Head Coach Jeremy Pruitt.

Who Joseph said told him, “you know you are a priority for us.” The Vols are looking to add dynamic edge rushers to this class, and Joseph certainly fits the bill.

He measures in at 6’4″, 220lbs and has measurable that are off the charts. Joseph has been timed at 4.67 seconds in the forty-yard dash, has a 34.6 inch vertical, and squats over 500lbs.

Joseph totaled 62 tackles, 18.5 TFL’s, 8.5 sacks, and 4 forced fumbles in his Junior season.

Tennessee will look to add immediate impact players to replace Darrell Taylor off the edge, and Joseph will be one of the top remaining targets in this cycle.

Joseph is rated as a four-star on ESPN and he is rated as the 481st overall prospect in the nation, No. 13 WDE, and 69th overall prospect in Florida in the 2020 class, according to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings.
