Harrison Bailey’s Father says, ‘No Chance’ son flips commitment

by | Oct 28, 2019

Harrison Bailey is one of the most coveted prospects in the entire nation, regardless of position. Bailey has been the cornerstone of Tennessee’s recruiting class, and he is already a fan favorite among Vols fans. Bailey’s recruitment has been watched as avidly as some of the games that the Volunteers have played this season.

When his high-school teammate, BJ Ojulari, flipped his commitment from Tennessee to LSU on Sunday, the buzz around if Bailey would be next quickly started circulating. After all, Arik Gilbert, another of Bailey’s teammates shocked the country with his college decision last week.

Bailey’s father, Orvel, let VR2’s Matt Ray know that was not the case. The older Bailey said on Sunday night, “No chance Harrison flips on his commitment, period.”

The older Bailey echoed what his son told VR2 on Wednesday night at the All-American Jersey Presentation: “I am done. I have known for a couple of weeks.”

Orvel Bailey also said, “He loves Knoxville, and we believe it is the perfect place for him. I just hope he can help when he gets there.”

He added, “let the fan base know that HB isn’t going anywhere.”

Bailey is set to sign during the early signing period and be an early enrollee at the University of Tennessee.

He is rated as the 32nd overall prospect in the country, No. 2 QB prospect, and No. 7 prospect from the state of Georgia in the 2020 class, according to Rivals.com.
