KNOXVILLE, TN– Today Kaden Martin — the son of former Tennessee quarterback and current wide-receiver coach Tee Martin — announced that he had received an offer from Tennessee via his Twitter account. The Volunteers are the 8th collegiate program to offer the 2022 dual-threat quarterback according to 247 Sports, the others being Alabama, Southern California, Ole Miss, West Virginia, Kentucky, Duke, and Florida Atlantic.

Martin attends Knoxville Catholic, the same high school that current Tennessee offensive linemen Cade and Cooper Mays attended, in addition to defensive end Tyler Baron, who also played for the school last year.
Martin made the move to Knoxville Catholic from Los Angeles when his father transitioned back to Tennessee after being let go as the offensive coordinator at Southern California, and with two seasons left to play for the sophomore, you could see him become a major player in the class of 2022.
Standing at 6’1’’ and weighing in at 205 pounds, Martin is capable of scrambling out of the pocket and killing defenses with his legs. In addition to playing football for Knoxville Catholic, he also plays baseball for the school, as a result, you could see Martin tossing the pigskin and the baseball around at whatever school he chooses to attend. He has already earned an offer from Tony Vitello and Tennessee’s baseball program.
While Tennessee fans must wait to see whether the son of a former legend decides to follow in his father’s footsteps, right now they’ll just have to be content with watching him light up defenses for Knoxville Catholic in the meantime.
