Top in-state prospect, Curry, set to visit Tennessee, talks Vols
He stepped in at running back for an injured teammate right before halftime in a game that saw Bradley Cental down 28-7. He went for 167 yards and 3 touchdowns on 21 carries. The effort helped Bradley Central storm back for the win. Curry will be back at Tennessee this weekend, and he discusses that here.
Curry had told Vol Recruiting Reports a few weeks back that Tennessee had not communicated as much as before. That has since changed. He told VR2’s Dale Dowden last night, “they have picked it up a lot with me.”
The Vols are turning up the heat on Curry, just like they are with multiple in-state targets from various classes. Curry said, “I am going to be at the South Carolina game on Saturday.”
Curry has always detailed a strong relationship with Vols coach, Tee Martin. That is a relationship that Curry says remains solid.
Curry is paying plenty of attention to what the Vols coach is telling him. However, he is also paying plenty of attention to how his WR group is playing on the field.
Curry said, on what he wants to see from the Vols down the stretch in his recruitment, “I want to see how they continue to get their receivers the ball moving forward.”
Curry will take several visits moving forward. He plans to be at North Carolina and South Carolina in the coming weeks.
Curry is the 63rd overall prospect in the 2021 class, number 6 athlete, and the number one prospect from Tennessee for 2021, according to 247 Sports.
